Two day Silent retreat in May/June

Would you like to experience some peace and quiet and get the time and space to go within? Than join a Silent meditation retreat at Manyika house, set in a beautiful green setting in Thika. The next two retreats are planned from 24-26 May and 31 May – 2 June 2019

Program:

Friday 

Arrival between 5-6.30 pm, 7 pm dinner and introduction to the weekend. The silence will start around 9 pm

Saturday 

 6.45 – 8.15       First session: Breathscape – walk meditation- mindful yoga- silent sit                                                 meditation

 9.00 – 12.00     Time to relax, work with contemplation material, get a massage, wander                                          in the mature garden or anything else you feel like doing…
12.15 – 13.00    Second session: Loving kindness meditation

16.45 – 18.30    Third session: Bodyscape – walk meditation – mindful movements – Silent                                      sit meditation

SPECIAL PACKAGE:
Many past participants have told me these retreats are profound for them, but it’s hard to continue the momentum when they get home. For that reason, I’m offering a special option that includes participation to a nine-week mindfulness and meditation course. 

During the nine-week course period, you will build a solid mindfulness and meditation practice through mindfulness theory, several exercises and discussions. You will also work on establishing your own daily meditation practice, starting from week 1. This will help you stay in the flow and grow the mindset that you will create when participating in the retreat! To read more detailed information about the course, please click here.

It is also possible to complete the follow-up course on your own with the course videos and workbook without attending the weekly meetings if that would suit you better. In that case, price will be 4000 shilling per month and you can click here to register

The total fee for the Retreat + nine-week mindfulness and meditation course is:  37.300 shilling (30% discount on course fee!)

Cost of the retreat without follow-up program is 25.300 shillings. 

Both options include two nights accommodation (shared rooms), two times breakfast, lunch and dinner (all delicious and vegetarian), all meditation sessions, and contemplation material to help you reflect on your life. 

If you register and pay before Tuesday 30 April, you’ll benefit from an early bird discount and only pay 22.800,- shilling or 34.800,- shilling for the retreat + Mindfulness and meditation course package.

BUDGET OPTION: If you don’t sleep in the house but bring your own tent/mat/sleeping bag instead, cost will be 18.500,- shilling or 30.700,- shilling for the retreat plus follow up program.

Participants can share cars to and from Thika. Maximum amount of participants is 10.
